Founders Story

Our I AM ME founder suffers from dyslexia and as a child was sent away from his family to a dyslexic school, where he was bullied and felt very much alone. Over time he wondered if there was something ‘wrong with him; he felt different from those around him and didn’t fit in’.

As he got older he became more accepting of his differences but people would still laugh or comment when he said something wrong…. and then the revelation came; “why should I have to change to fit in with others, everyone needs to accept me for how I am and for who I am, I’m not going to hide away or feel embarrassed any longer” and he said to his family with pride, “I AM ME!”

As he began to embrace the new I AM ME, his passion grew into a vision he could create where everyone else can begin to feel the same as he now does… to feel as though they can be themselves, to feel confident in who they are and importantly for everyone to come together, celebrate and give support to one another and create a family environment through I AM ME. He wanted to design a casual clothing brand, featuring the logo - I AM ME - and with every purchase, we will give a donation to two charities close to our Founders heart in hope to support others. You will be able to see that we are now partnered with MIND (see our Work for Good page) officially and soon to be supporting Made by Dyslexia.
